About Laughter Yoga and Hatha Yoga: Laughter really IS the best medicine. Laughter yoga is based on the science of laughing for no reason. Benefits include reduced stress and tension, increased endorphins, blood flow, energy and oxygen levels, a stronger immune system and heart and a vastly improved mood!  Hatha Yoga (the movement oriented yoga you’re likely most familiar with) can do much of the same including increasing range of motion, lubricating joints and building healthy tissues throughout the body.  Additionally, a heart-focused, mindful approach to yoga relaxes and rejuvenates the body, helps us integrate emotions, and brings a calm stillness to the mind.

About HeartMath®: The heart has a brain of its own – an intrinsic nervous system that can sense, feel, learn and remember.  Research at the HeartMath Institute has shown that our feelings and emotions, both positive and negative, powerfully affect our hearts.  Furthermore, when we intentionally practice renewing emotions like appreciation, love, care and kindness, the shift in heart rhythms creates a favorable cascade of neural, hormonal, and biochemical events that benefit the entire body, bringing multiple systems in to synchronicity - what HeartMath calls "coherence." Coherence leads to mental clarity, creativity, and resiliency.  Through the guiding principles of the heart, HeartMath tools and techniques help people manage stress and build resilience in all areas of life.  more: www.heartmath.com
